Full-Service Intelligent Answers Weekly Telecon

Full-Service Intelligent Answers: On July 31, we are initiating Full-Service Intelligent Answers, a weekly telecon to answer questions and resolve issues for mailers migrating to the Full-Service application. If you are participating in the Full-Service process, join these calls to exchange information with postal and industry stakeholders to get answers to your Full-Service questions. The dial-in information will be posted on RIBBS, Intelligent Mail® Services, Latest News on Thursday.
Intelligent Mail University
I will be attending the IMU session on Thursday, October 9th at USPS HQ in Washington DC. The training day will consist of six focus sessions:
1) Overview of May 2009 Intelligent Mail Implementation
2) Intelligent Mail Barcodes; 3) Electronic Documentation
4) Functionality of Data Produced and Returned by Intelligent Mail
5) Customer Supplier Agreements
6) Mixed Mailings, Combined Mailings and Co-Palletization.

In preparation for the May 2009 Intelligent Mail implementation, the USPS will offer an educational series on Intelligent Mail. The series is entitled Intelligent Mail University (IMU).
The presentation subject matter will consist of six sessions:
· Overview of May 2009 Intelligent Mail Implementation
· Intelligent Mail Barcodes
· Electronic Documentation
· Functionality of Data Produced and Returned by Intelligent Mail
· Customer Supplier Agreements
· Mixed Mailings, Combined Mailings and Co-Palletization
At the Intelligent Mail University (IMU), you will learn how to prepare your mail for the basic and full-service options. Learn about the benefits available to full-service option users: Address Change Services and Start-the-Clock. Learn how to save time with electronic documentation and appointments. Gain knowledge of how to construct your barcodes and how to use service type identifiers. Discover how the data encoded in barcodes can provide you and the USPS with valuable information. Find out about the importance of the Mailer ID and the significance of the Serial Number as it relates to mailpiece uniqueness. Acquire the facts of how Intelligent Mail will enhance your mailing operations. We have gathered the experts to bring you an in-depth look at the Intelligent Mail process. Attached, you will find the list of course offerings at the IMU.
This training will be conducted in the Ben Franklin room (11th floor) of the Postal Service Headquarters’ building located at 475 L’Enfant Plaza SW, Washington DC, 20260. You may choose to attend on one of the following dates: Friday 10/3/08, Monday 10/6/08, or Thursday 10/9/08, from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. There will be a recess from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm, as lunch will not be provided.
